At Springwood Suzuki we're always looking for ways to do our bit to be as environmentally responsible as possible.
As Australia's Number One Suzuki dealer we are in a good position to lead the industry in water conservation, energy conservation, and sound recycling strategies.

Our Workshop actively undergoes the following environmentally sound practices:
   1) We recycle all Oil Filters, Tyres, Batteries, Polystyrene, Rags, Steel, and Alloys
   2) We responsibly dispose of all our oils and fluids.
   3) We use waterless products where-ever possible to greatly reduce our water consumption.

We have oil separators installed in our wash-bay and workshop drainage areas so that no industrial waste fluids are allowed to run out into our waterways.

We have parts washing bays that filter cleaning fluid in a contained system so that we use far less to wash parts than if we weren't capturing it.

In addition to our workshop's strong environmental practices, Springwood Suzuki has installed 2 huge water tanks (a total of 66,000 litres) and another huge tank is being added soon.
We use this captured rain-water instead of town-water for all of our non-drinking water requirements, to the point where our entire premises (shop, cafe, and workshop combined) uses no more town water than an average family home.

Another excellent use of this freely captured rainwater is that we use a sprinkler system to keep the tin roof of our building wet throughout the hotter days, letting the water run back into the tanks to be recycled again and again.  The running water and the evaporation keeps the tin very cool even in full direct sunlight, which means that our airconditioners only have to do a fraction of the work they would normally have to.  This in turn saves huge amounts of energy, which means that our carbon footprint is reduced to only a small percentage of what a similar sized building could be expected to have.

We only run air-conditioning during the hotter months when the shop requires it for the comfort of our customers, and our lighting both during the day and at night is carefully utilised.

All of our cardboard packaging is careful dismantled and recycled.
